The Wedding!
Renea & Ike - Hitched on the Itche!

July 26, 2002 - Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Ike Parks
They got married at the Headsprings of the Ichetucknee River and led the wedding party in their decorated canoe on a lovely
floating river reception.  What a great way to get hitched!
  Check out the details!

July 26, 2002 - It was a lovely day, dawned bright and HOT!  Got to 96 degrees with 85% humidity.  Here's our couple coming down the steps on their way to the headsprings.   THE WEDDING SCHEMERS:  Tom (the best man) and Sandi (notary public who performed the ceremony) are at the turnoff to the headsprings, plotting how to decorate the wedding canoes....uh-oh!
At the Headsprings, under the watchful eye of several swimmers, Sandi as officiant goes thru the vows with Renea and Ike.  IT'S A DONE DEAL!  You may kiss the bride!  It's official!  They're hitched!  Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Ike Parks! She's a gorgeous bride!
Here's the entire wedding party--Sandi, Renea, Ike and Tom.  What a great wedding it was!  A small ceremony, since not everyone could trek down to the river, but a reception was planned in Atlanta later. The new PARKS picture!  Here's one of Ike and Renea's wedding pictures.  Suz was the photographer for the event and captioned the pics after.  While Suz shot digital, Tom also photographed them with the 35mm camera.
A picture of the wedding rings, taken shortly after the ceremony.  Ditto for the wedding bouquet that Renea carried.
Tom and Sandi decorated Ike's canoe--this side had written "joint WHAT account?" Hmmm, Ike, you're looking a little worried there....well, now it's time for a little wedding trip down the river to celebrate the nuptials! This side of the canoe was emblazoned with "JUST MARRIED!" in soap (so it would come off later!) The entire wedding party had a leisurely trip down the Ichetucknee--many people along the way remarked what a great idea!
Back at the ranch after the river trip, Sandi had prepared a wedding cake, card and flowers for the couple.  It's official!  Here's the wedding certificate, with the wedding rings and the wedding roses.  How pretty...
                            THE RECEPTION
A reception was held in August in Kennesaw, GA. for Ike and Renea for their families and close friends.  Here are some pictures taken at the reception.
Renea and her sweet lovely daughter Emily.  There's a definite family resemblance in the happy eyes and bright smiles. Geez, Renea, you've only been married a month--how did you and Ike get all those kids???  Renea is surrounded by giggling kiddies.
Ike with his two favorite gals.  On the left is his mother, Yvonne.  Yvonne didn't get down to the river for the wedding, so as consolation, Ike bought her a Porsche!
A lovely picture of a tender kiss as Renea and Ike start their new life together.  Let's wish them all the best!  The honeymoon pictures are being auctioned off in the adult entertainment section on eBay!)

On behalf of the entire RiverMadness gang, we'd like to congratulate Renea and Ike on their wedding, and wish them many happy & healthy years together!
